Training day: Standardization of Authorship and Researcher Profiles

On Monday, June 18, a day will be held at cicCartuja in which an overview of the tools for the standardization of authorship and the creation of researcher profiles, such as ORCID Researcher-ID, ResearchGate or Google Scholar, will be offered.

The standardization of authorship and the creation of researcher profiles is a task of growing importance in the professional life of every researcher, which provides great advantages:
• They largely avoid ambiguity and duplication in personal names
• They ensure the greatest possible recovery of an author’s scientific production
• They speed up the tedious task of completing the procedures to apply for calls and grants
• It is beginning to be a requirement demanded by the most influential publishers (such as Nature, Elsevier, Thomson Reuters…).

The day will have two parts:
1.      Theoretical session open to all researchers, in the cicCartuja 2 Conference Room from 9:30 to 11:30
2.      Practical session restricted to 12 people—preferably PhDs (with less than 10 publications on their CV)—with whom we will work to create their research profile. This practical session will take place in the computer room of cicCartuja 2 from 12 to 14:30.

To select the people who will participate in the practical session, those interested are asked to send their CV before Thursday, June 14 to
People who finally participate in this practical session should bring their laptops, if possible with EDUROAM configured, although assistance will be provided to connect them to the network beforehand so as not to waste time during the session.
Both sessions will be given by Marina Gómez, head of the EEHA library of the CSIC.
