Science Week
The Science and Technology Week is the largest annual event for the popularization of science in Europe. In this context, the Centro de Investigaciones Científicas Isla de la Cartuja (cicCartuja) opens its doors to high school students, university students and the general public. Every year during the month of November, cicCartuja organizes a series of activities with a strong informative tone to publicize the research being carried out in its institutes in the areas of biology, chemistry and materials science.
Each year the program revolves around different axes, among the various activities are: Coffee with Science and informative talks. In each of these activities, cicCartuja brings scientific culture closer to high school students, in addition to expanding the contents that are raised in the subject “Science for the contemporary world”.
In addition, since 2014, the Future Scientists Day has been held, in which students from the schools awarded in the last edition of the Science Fair with the Future Scientists Award enjoy a guided tour of the facilities of the cicCartuja institutes and then make a presentation of their projects in a full auditorium.
Schools wishing to participate in cicCartuja’s Science Week activities should apply through the application form.
