Jesús Campos, 2023 Organometallics Distinguished Author Award Winner

The Institute of Chemical Research and IP researcher of the Organometallic Chemistry Group: Structure, Reactivity and Applications (QUIMERA), is the winner of the 2023 Organometallics Distinguished Author Award from the American Chemical Society. This award recognizes authors of exceptional articles that emphasize the importance of organometallic chemistry and have had a profound impact on this field.

Dr. Campos was selected for this award in recognition of pioneering research in the field of metallic frustrated Lewis pairs (FLP), which elegantly unites late transition metal chemistry with main group chemistry and catalysis for application in the development of new processes in organic synthesis.

Jesús Campos, will be honored during the Spring Meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana, in March 2024.
This is the interview he has been given at the ACS on the occasion of this new recognition.
