On January 17, the company Ebro Food received the award for Business Patronage in the large company category granted by the Social Council of the University of Seville.

Ebro Foods, the leading food company in Spain, has been awarded in the large company category, according to the jury, “for its collaboration with the University of Seville for eight consecutive years, for its continued contribution to the cicCartuja research award and for its connection through Herba Ricemills with the signing of internship agreements.” It is a company with a market capitalization of more than 3,000 million euros with a broad international presence.

Ebro Foods has sponsored the cicCartuja awards since 2010.

The award was collected by its president, Mr. Antonio Hernández Callejas, well known in our center for presenting the cicCartuja Ebro Foods awards every year to young researchers who carry out their work in our center.

The Tier1 company, dedicated to the ICT sector, was also awarded in the SME category.

The third edition of these awards was chaired by the rector of the University of Seville, Miguel Ángel Castro, and the president of the Social Council, Concha Yoldi.

The jury for these awards was made up of renowned personalities in the university field: José Guadix Martín, vice-rector for Knowledge Transfer at the University of Seville; Juan José López Garzón, politician and councilor of the Social Council; Clemencia Rufo Quiles, businesswoman and councilor of the Social Council; María de los Ángeles Gutiérrez Báez, businesswoman and councilor of the Social Council; Javier Rojo Marcos, director of cicCartuja; Ramón González Carvajal, professor of Electronic Technology; Gabriel Dronda Fernández, manager of Communications for the South Area of ​​Coca Cola European Partners and councilor of the Social Council; Concha Yoldi García, president of the jury and of the Social Council; and, acting as secretary, Jesús Jiménez Cano, director of the secretariat of the Social Council.
