The European Association for Thermal Analysis awards this prize to distinguished scientists who have carried out their research work in Europe for at least the last five years (or at least the last five years prior to their retirement) and who have spent no less than 12 months outside Europe during that period.
Applicants for the David Dollimore ESTAC Award must be professors or emeritus researchers, over 65 years of age (active or retired). In this edition, Jose Luis Pérez Rodríguez, from the Institute of Materials Sciences in Seville, will share the award with Prof. Edward L. Charsley from the University of Huddersfield (United Kingdom).
The award ceremony will take place during the 12th congress of the European Association for Thermal Analysis, which will be held from 27 to 30 August in Brasov, Romania.
