Symposium “Fundamental Processes in Perovskite and Thin Film Solar Cells”

The Multifunctional Optical Materials group, belonging to the Institute of Materials Science (ICMS) – attached to cicCartuja, a joint CSIC-US organization – and the Nanostructured Solar Cells group, from the Pablo de Olavide University, organize the workshop entitled “Fundamental Processes in Perovskite and Thin Film Solar Cells”.

This activity is part of the EMTECH thematic network, funded by the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness. It is scheduled to be held on October 2 and 3, in the Degree Hall of the Isla de la Cartuja Scientific Research Center (cicCartuja).

The symposium aims to present work related to the latest advances in thin film solar cells, especially metal-organic hybrid perovskite. On the other hand, other concepts related to the subject will also be discussed, for example the understanding of optical and electronic processes (optical absorption, photophysics, electronic and ionic transport, etc.), which are essential to determine the functioning, efficiency and stability of solar cells.

This workshop aims to become a meeting point between researchers and students dedicated to this field, both inside and outside Spain. Likewise, the participation of scientists in training will be encouraged, who will be able to attend talks and contribute with their contributions.
