Seville, June 7, 2017. The Isla de la Cartuja Scientific Research Centre (cicCartuja) hosted this morning the last meeting of the Governing Council of the Círculo de Empresarios de Cartuja (CEC). As an institution associated with the CEC, the cicCartuja was represented by its director, Miguel Ángel de la Rosa Acosta, and by the centre’s manager, María Pozas Vizoso.
During the course of the meeting, the CEC representatives made a balance of the achievements made throughout the year by this institution, in addition to agreeing on some of the projects and initiatives that will be developed in the future. The inauguration of cultural institutions such as the Caixa Forum or the improvement of the site are some of the achievements made in 2017, which commemorates the 25th anniversary of Expo’92.
Another of the topics discussed during the council was proposals for mobility on the Cartuja Island, all of them with a view to reducing the number of private vehicles in the area, as well as facilitating transport for people who live outside the urban centre of Seville.
After the Governing Council, the members of the Círculo were able to visit the cicCartuja facilities and, in this way, learn in detail about the research and dissemination of science that is carried out in its facilities.
