The Governing Board of the Western Andalusia Territorial Section of the Royal Spanish Society of Chemistry has ratified the Jury’s proposal to award the Prizes to the best Doctoral Theses defended during the 2013-2014 Academic Year in the field of Chemistry.

Candidates had to meet the requirements established in the Prize Regulations and have defended their thesis between October 1, 2013 and September 30, 2014.

The winners were:

Dr. Isabel Cruz Gallardo (Institute of Plant Biochemistry and Photosynthesis)

Dr. Teresa Mena Barragán (University of Seville)

Dr. Juan C. Muñoz García (Institute of Chemical Research)

The award ceremony will take place at the University of Seville and will include a brief oral presentation by the winners on the results of their research. The date and program of the event will be announced shortly.
