Irene Díaz-Moreno, winner of the award for the best biophysicist under 40 years of age

The researcher from the Institute of Plant Biology and Photosynthesis, Irene Díaz-Moreno, has been awarded the Enrique Pérez-Paya Prize. This award recognises the career of a biophysicist under 40 years of age who has made a special contribution to the advancement of Biophysics in Spain.

The award, granted unanimously by the Board of Directors of the Spanish Society of Biophysics, is endowed with 1500 euros, and its main objective is to recognise the achievements obtained in the last ten years by a biophysicist who develops his main activity in Spain.

Irene’s research work is carried out within the novel and interdisciplinary field of biointeractomics, as well as the post-translational regulation of biological macromolecules.

The award ceremony will take place during a plenary lecture that the winner will give during the 15th SBE Congress to be held from 10 to 12 June 2015 in Granada.
