National Geographic- Spain echoes the patent of a Seville Materials Science group

The prestigious international magazine dedicates its informative space on “New Materials” to the creation of Andalusian researchers attached to the Institute of Materials Science of Seville (ICMS) and the Plant Biopolymers Group of the University of Malaga. As we published in December 2010, the research that led to the patent was based on the production in the laboratory, by synthesis, of a biodegradable plastic made from vegetable cutin, the main biopolyester in tomato skin.
