The Spanish Society of Ceramics and Glass (SECV) celebrates its fiftieth anniversary with the organization of a special Congress, which aims to take stock of its history, analyze the current situation of the sector and propose new alternatives to the industrial challenges of the future. The event will take place at the CSIC headquarters in Madrid (Calle Serrano) from October 27 to 29, and the Institute of Materials Science of Seville (ICMS) will be represented by some of its members. Among these scientists are Antonio Ramírez de Arellano, Francisco Yubero, Antonio Ruiz Conde and Pedro José Sánchez Soto, the latter researcher having participated as a member of the organizing committee of this SECV Congress.
The 50th Congress of the Spanish Society of Ceramics and Glass, international in nature, will address issues such as new strategies in the field of raw materials, future strategies in building materials, materials in energy generation and storage systems, functional ceramics for devices in new technologies or economic policies and R + D + i aimed at the ceramic and glass sector.
