A group of young Andalusian researchers, including Pablo Bernal Fernández (Instituto de Investigaciones Químicas), has launched an innovative publishing project entitled The All Results Journals, which consists of collecting gray literature that has not been published before in traditional scientific journals. The initiative, launched in early 2010, aims to collect and publish experiments that have obtained negative (or secondary) results in different areas of scientific knowledge, such as Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Nanotechnology. The date of these works is open, i.e., there is no time limit as to their period of completion, so that both studies carried out decades ago and other recently developed research can be proposed.
The All Results Journals is already available in electronic format (http://www.arjournals.com/ojs/), and is awaiting financial support from European funds. In addition, the publication is part of the Open Access movement and is indexed by the main search engines (Pubmed, DOAJ…),
On the other hand, a paper by Pablo Bernal, signed together with Rosario Fernández and José María Lassaletta, has been chosen as September’s “Article of the Month” on the cicCartuja website. The study, published in Chemistry. A Euopean Journal, is entitled “Organocatalytic Asymmetric Cyanosilylation of Nitroalkenes”.
