The journal Chemistry. A European Journal has catalogued as “Very Important Paper” an article signed by Jesús Angulo, Pedro M. Enríquez-Navas and Pedro M. Nieto, members of the Instituto de Investigaciones Químicas (IIQ). The full title of the paper is “Ligand-Receptor Binding Affinities from Saturation Transfer Difference (STD) NMR Spectroscopy: The Binding Isotherm of STD Initial Growth Rates”, and it has appeared in Volume 16 (Issue 26) of the publication.
In this study, which has also been highlighted as a “Cover Article” in www.ciccartuja.es, the three researchers of the Carbohydrate Group have used a methodology based on STD NMR techniques to obtain structural information of the molecules and to find the affinity measure in the ligand-protein interactions.
