cicCartuja presented the cicCartuja Young Scientist Award during the Science Fair. This marks the 12th edition of the award, which aims to recognise young people for their scientific work.
The directors of the Science Fair have awarded an honourable mention to CEIP Clara Campoamor in Bormujos for its “Investigo Science Workshop: Look closely and get excited”. This distinction comes with a prize consisting of a selection of science books.

María del Águila Ruiz, from the Institute of Plant Biochemistry and Photosynthesis, presented the second runner-up prize to IES Maestro Diego Llorente in Los Palacios y Villafranca for their stand “Science with Patience”, which was collected on their behalf by Antonio Pizzano from the Institute of Chemical Research. This prize is worth 500 euros.
Victor Rico, from the Institute of Materials Science in Seville, presented the IES Alcaria in La Puebla del Río with the first runner-up prize for its stand ‘Science is in the media’. This prize is worth 500 euros.

The director of the Isla de la Cartuja Scientific Research Centre, Noureddine Khiar, has presented the first prize to IES Caura in Coria del Río for their stand entitled ‘From the Himalayas to the Guadalquivir: Connecting Climate Change’. The winner receives a prize of 1,000 euros.
