The NMR course organized by cicCartuja is open to specialization in spectroscopy techniques.

Sevilla, June 18, 2010. Divided into two theoretical and practical blocks, the Course on NMR: Applications in chemistry and biochemistry will offer from June 21 an opportunity to approach Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) techniques from the interdisciplinary point of view of organic chemistry, organometallic chemistry and structural biology. The cicCartuja organizes for the first time this conference, framed in the CSIC Postgraduate activities, with the intention of training researchers in the basic concepts of NMR. The course also aims to familiarize students with the common instruments, spectrometers and software used for data processing.

The Course on NMR: Applications in Chemistry and Biochemistry, directed by Pedro M. Nieto (IIQ) and Irene Díaz (IBVF), will be attended by professors who are experts in the different fields of NMR.Among them are Jesús Jiménez-Barbero (Centro de Investigaciones Biológicas) and Marta Bruix (Instituto de Química Física Rocasolano), who will give free access lectures for all cicCartuja researchers, on June 22 and 24, respectively.
