Seville, 17/1/2011. The popular science magazine Andalucía Innova, published by the Regional Ministry of Economy, Innovation and Science, has highlighted in a report the studies carried out at the Institute of Materials Science of Seville (ICMS). Specifically, the publication focuses on the projects developed around the obtaining of new materials and the design of thin layers at nanometric scale, whose contributions are proving to be of special industrial interest in fields such as optics, health or solar energy. Issue 19 of Andalucía Innova also includes an interview with the Director of the ICMS, Alfonso Caballero, in which questions related to the social projection and future importance of the new materials being researched are addressed.
