The Assembly Hall of the Faculty of Pharmacy will host a symposium on 9 September to present the new equipment acquired by the General NMR Research Service of the University of Seville. The equipment consists of a multinuclear NMR spectrometer, AVANCE III WB 600 MHz, from Bruker, specifically designed for the acquisition of solid samples at high field and with a great versatility in its applications, with unique features in Spain. To present this equipment, the Centre for Research, Technology and Innovation of the University of Seville (CITIUS) has programmed a total of six explanatory talks and a guided tour of the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Service.
Two researchers from cicCartuja, Dr. Mª Dolores Alba Carranza (ICMS) and Dr. Pedro Nieto Mesa (IIQ), are participating in this symposium, directed by Dr. José Luis Espartero Sánchez, who are members of the organising committee. Mª Dolores Alba will also give a lecture entitled ‘Application of solid NMR to the study of the solid-liquid interface’.
Attendance to this symposium is free of charge. However, there is a pre-registration deadline of 20 July, since the capacity is limited to 30 people.
More information about the symposium and the pre-registration form can be found here.
