Antonio Hernández Callejas, Trustee of the Ebro Foods Foundation, has signed an agreement with the Isla de la Cartuja Scientific Research Center to increase the amount of the cicCartuja-Ebro Foods Research Prize. This new donation by Hernández Callejas amounts to 15,000 euro, which is in addition to the 12,000 euro for four years that this Research Prize already had and which came from the award granted to Hernández Callejas by the Confederation of Businessmen of Seville – Social Council of the University of Seville.
From the next edition and until 2013, the awards will be endowed with 8,000 euros per year, which will be distributed between the winner and the two runner-up prizes as follows: 4,000 euros for the first prize and 2,000 euros for each of the two runner-up prizes.
The selection of the candidates arises from the works that have been highlighted as ‘Article of the Month’ on the cicCartuja website (www.ciccartuja.es). The requirements that researchers must meet to participate in the Award are as follows:
- Belong to one of the Institutes of cicCartuja.
- Be under 31 years of age or have reached that age before
- December 31 of the current year.
- Be the first author of the article.
- The article submitted must have been published within the last six months.
- The work must have been carried out, at least in part, at cicCartuja.
The cicCartuja-Ebro Foods Research Award was launched in 2010, with the aim of promoting a career of excellence among the Center’s scientists.
We encourage researchers to send their proposals for the coming months through this link.
