Coinciding with the centenary of the discovery of X-Ray Diffraction through crystals, researchers from the Institute of Materials Science of Seville (ICMS) and the Institute of Chemical Research (IIQ), both belonging to cicCartuja, will be part of the organizing committee of the XXII Symposium of the Specialized Groups of Crystallography and Crystal Growth.
The scientific program of the symposium includes a total of nine plenary lectures and session lectures, which will deal with various disciplines related to crystallography and crystal growth, such as structural chemistry or biocrystallography. The program also includes a workshop on the analysis and prediction of protein-ligand complexes, with the aim of showing attendees different practical cases.
The activities, organized in morning and afternoon sessions between June 26 and 29, can be consulted here.
The symposium plans to award grants to young researchers who participate as authors in a scientific communication.
