On Tuesday, December 3, the Isla de la Cartuja Scientific Research Center hosted the conference entitled ‘Steel solutions to society’s challenges’ organized by the Spanish Steel Technology Platform.

During the conference, various cases were presented of how steel offers answers to society’s challenges for energy applications, applications in nuclear fission, optimization of energy resources or valorization of black slag, a by-product of steel production.
The conference was attended by professors, researchers and students, as well as companies related to the sector and its products, promoting the exchange of experiences and knowledge between universities, technology centers and companies.
