Seville, January 8, 2018. The Federation of European Biochemical Societies (FEBS) has launched a practical course on ‘Comprehensive Approach to Biomolecular Interactions’. The training will take place at cicCartuja – a joint CSIC-US-Junta de Andalucía organization – from May 7 to 11, 2018.
This course has been created with the purpose of meeting the growing demand for the study of weak biological interactions from a technical point of view. More specifically, the training will focus on protein-ligand and protein-protein interactions, which will be developed using techniques such as Nuclear Magnetic Resonance, Isothermal Titration Calorimetry or Surface Plasmon Resonance.
Scientists from the Institute of Chemical Research (IIQ) – attached to cicCartuja -, from the University of Seville and from the CSIC will be in charge of providing the training, with the collaboration of experts from companies such as TA Instruments, Horiba or Affinimeter, as well as from the European Biophysics Societies Association (EBSA).
Due to the eminently practical nature of the course, the places offered are limited. On the other hand, all interested parties will be able to apply for the scholarships that FEBS makes available to them. The registration period for the course will end on January 31.
