Seville, January 30, 2018. The Biomolecular Interactions Platform (BIP-cicCartuja) is making available to the researchers of the center the new FPLC (Fast Protein Liquid Chromatography) equipment; this will be in test mode until the beginning of March.

This equipment belongs to the NGC family of preparative systems, a modification of the NGC Discover™ 10 Pro Chromatography System of medium pressure, which offers the possibility of using two columns in series, UV/Vis detection and pH monitoring.

The FPLC Service can work with each researcher’s own columns or with the columns we have on the platform. The latter are:

1.-ENrich™ SEC 70 size exclusion column #7801070. Size range 0.5-70kDa, 10x300mm, 24 ml, 0.5–1.5 ml/min flow rate, maximum operating pressure 600psi.

4.-Foresight™ Nuvia™ Q strong anion exchange column #7324741. 8x100mm, 5ml, 2.5-5ml/min flow rate, max operating pressure 435psi.

5.-Mini Profinity Affinity GST Cartridge #7324622. 40×12.6mm, 5ml, 5-10ml/min flow rate, maximum operating pressure 45 psi.

6.-Mini Nuvia™ Affinity IMAC Cartridges Ni charged column #7800811. 40×12.6mm, 5ml, 7ml/min flow rate, maximum operating pressure 45psi.

After the trial period, an advanced system usage seminar will be held by a Bio-Rad technician, to which all researchers who have used the equipment during this period will be invited.
