October 9th is NanoDay or Nanotechnology Day. To celebrate it, the Institute of Materials Science in Seville has prepared a series of informative videos that we can find on the 10alamenos9 channel in which the importance of nanotechnology in our daily lives is explained: Materials for light control, Electron Microscopy or A world full of Catalysis.
On the occasion of this day, it is worth mentioning that ICMS researchers and members of the jury of the Micro and Nanostory Competition from 10 to less 9: “Many stories fit in the nanoworld: tell us about them!”, have agreed that Carmen Lucía Howe Guerrero from the IES Luca de Tena, should be the winner of Seville.
This is a competition that was aimed at students in 3rd and 4th year of ESO and 1st and 2nd year of Bachillerato. Each contestant presented a single story that could be about adventure, science fiction or any other topic. The only requirement is that the work must be related to nanoscience and nanotechnology. This competition is part of the 5th Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Festival.
