11F, International Day of Women and Girls in Science

February 11 is the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, an initiative that we join year after year to eliminate gender stereotypes within the field of science and technology (SEM), to help promote scientific and technological vocations in girls and adolescents and give greater visibility to the work of female scientists. But above all, to understand the causes of the gender gap and promote practices that favor gender equality in the scientific field.

This 2021, despite the latent health situation, 11F celebrates its sixth edition. Current circumstances have meant that many of the activities are now online. However, this has not been an impediment for scientists, researchers and disseminators from all over the world to share their knowledge to transmit their passion for science. On the occasion of this event, which will last until March, over the next few days our researchers from the IIQ, ICMS and IBVF will be bringing science to all audiences, both in person and online.

From radio interviews, monologues or workshops with scientific experiments for boys and girls in Primary Education, to talks on professional guidance in the scientific sector for secondary and high school students. All these activities are collected and can be seen on the website of February 11.

At cicCartuja, from our social networks, we are sharing all the content that is being generated these days.
