Professor José Manuel Pardo, from the Institute of Plant Biochemistry and Photosynthesis, is one of the 15 CSIC researchers whose work places them among the most influential in the world.

José Manuel Pardo Prieto has been recognized as a highly cited researcher in the Highly Cited Researchers (HCR) 2022 list, prepared by the Webofscience Group platform, from Clarivate Analytics. This list brings together the most influential scientists in the world and names the IBVF researcher as one of the most influential in his field worldwide based on the high number of citations his work has received, with several published in the 1% of the most cited.

Prof. Pardo specializes in the study of Nutrition and Plant Stress, two essential elements for achieving more sustainable agriculture that also guarantees better crop performance in unfavorable conditions.
